Options For Administration

You have a choice:

By NASP

  • NASP will take full responsibility for administering the NASP Program.

  • Referring officers will be given a supply of Program Registration Forms to keep on hand.

  • Offenders enroll in the program via mail by completing the Program Registration Form and enclosing their tuition fee in the self-addressed, postage paid envelope.

  • NASP will administer the Home Study Program as a correspondence course.

  • Included as part of the Home Study Program NASP will Conduct a Psychological Profile Analysis and Risk Assessment to help identify offenders "at risk" who may need added support services.

  • Participants identified to be "at risk" are scheduled to attend a full-day Class / Workshop, which will be conducted by a qualified instructor who is hired and trained locally to deliver this added support program. (optional)

  • Each participant and each referring officer will receive a letter with recommendations specifying the offenders successful completion (non-completion) of the program.

By The Court or Agency

  • NASP will provide all educational materials and train local staff to administer the program.

  • The court/agency will need to sign a License Agreement and then pre-purchase at least one box of 25 Home Study Kits ($975-$1125) to get started. Subsequent boxes will be purchased on an as needed basis.

  • Local staff training will be provided by NASP at no charge.

  • The court/agency will decide whether to charge a tuition fee to the offender and collect any fee directly from them.

  • The referring officer will hand out the Home Study Kits to offenders and assign a required completion date.

  • Upon receipt of the returned Answer Sheet, referring officers will only need 6 minutes per offender to grade the Home Study Program and complete the Psychological Profile Analysis and Risk Assessment for each case. (Example: 6 minutes X 20 shoplifters per week = 90 minutes or 1.5 hours per week.)

  • The court/agency will schedule "at risk" offenders to attend a full-day Class/Workshop which is conducted by their trained instructor. (optional)

9) Based upon the number of cases your court / agency sees, funding availability and administration time, which administration option do you feel initially suits the needs of your court / agency?:
